Our regular readers are generally aware that politicians from both major political parties have lied about family politics for many years, and America has suffered as a result. Public opinion is extremely important. Many MND readers know how much it means to those who have fought against marriage, family,  men, and western society generally over the past quarter century. When it comes to issues related to fatherhood, the so-called "mainstream press" has been ruled by pure anti-father propaganda.

The concept of a "free press" however is not limited to a few companies that like to characterize themselves as being in a special class. Quite the contrary. We are free to respond, to report, to correct the record, to state the facts, to argue, comment, and propose. The character of MND is no less "mainstream" than you are. A huge "truth gap" exists. The old media spent years misinforming the public about fathers and everything related to fathers as well as denigrating men and manhood generally. When their assertions were disproven, a conspiracy of silence began, dotted occasionally by reinforcement of the prejudice they created. National agencies like the Associated Press still provide articles telling the old lies, and some newspapers still publish them.

Candidates in this year's election are playing a similar game. Their tactics are designed to avoid any detailed discussion about what is wrong with family policy and what it would really take to fix it. We can expect them to get by with it if there is no one to challenge them with the truth.
