Conservative political action group RightMarch.com has taken their fight against the potential nomination of Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee to the radio airwaves.

In an e-mail to supporters on Wednesday, RightMarch.com proclaimed their "campaign to stop Arlen Specter is picking up speed!"

"Since we launched our effort to keep the 'Republican In Name Only' senator from Pennsylvania from winning the chairmanship of the Senate Judiciary Committee, our members have sent over 94,000 faxes to the 54 Republican Senators (besides Specter) who will be voting on the new chairman," RightMarch noted.

They added, "We can't stop now!"

Explaining that Specter is "now calling every Republican Senator, trying to make sure he wins that chair position," RightMarch.com said Specter is "calling in his favors so that he can decide whether President Bush's judicial nominees can get a vote in the Senate!"

Announcing that they want to get their "message out to hundreds of thousands more people across the nation," RightMarch announced they are "now running radio ads across America."

RightMarch.com says the radio ads are "letting patriotic conservatives know about this emergency situation, and telling them to contact Senate Republicans and tell them to oppose Specter as Judiciary Committee Chairman."

Airing on over 470 radio stations and reaching nearly 1.75 million listeners through conservative national talk shows such as The Mike Gallagher Show, The Michael Medved Show, Janet Parshall's America and Bill Bennett's Morning in America, RightMarch.com said this will result in "tens of thousands more conservatives around the country ... writing, calling, and faxing their GOP Senators, demanding they oppose the liberal Specter in his bid to be the 'gatekeeper' for President Bush's conservative judicial nominees."

"We can win this!" RightMarch.com said, adding that they will "need your help to do it!"

The group's goal is to have one million people contact their senators to stop Specter from becoming the next chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

"Don't forget to keep calling and writing the GOP members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and tell them to vote no on Specter's bid to become chairman!" RightMarch.com reminded.

"Already, GOP Senators are hearing from conservatives across America about this. But we need to make sure that when they return to their offices next week, they find that they have been flooded with hundreds of thousands of messages opposing Sen. Specter as Judiciary Chairman," RightMarch.com stated.

The Republican caucus will vote in January using a secret ballot about who should chair the various committees in the U.S. Senate, including the Senate Judiciary Committee.

RightMarch.com urged its members that "Arlen Specter must not become Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee ... [and] conservatives must see to it that this does not occur."
