Victoria's Secret Protestors Strip To Skivvies To Save The Trees
November 1, 2004
MND NEWSWIRE
Protestors stormed the
Victoria's Secret store at the Minneapolis Mall of America on Sunday to protest the destruction of the world's forests.
Activists entered the store at around 1pm and immediately began to strip down to lingerie and nightgowns.
Within minutes, store employees managed to eject the scantily-clad invaders from the store. The protest continued outside, where activists wielded cardboard chainsaws and pretended to down other protestors who represented trees.
The "Victoria's Dirty Secret" protest was organized by the anti-paper group ForestEthics. The San Francisco-based group asserts that Victoria's Secrets annual publication of some 395 million catalogs is a leading contributor to world-wide forest destruction.
