Close-Up Images of Saturn's Rings

The spacecraft known as Cassini took seven years to reach Saturn and has passed through a gap in its rings before entering orbit where it is planned to continue sending images and other data for the next four years. The new images of Saturn's rings provide the closest look ever.

Cassini scientist Bonnie Buratti characterized the new images as a "treasure trove."
