The material for this article was spawned by an on-air comment that
I made recently as a caller to the
G.
Gordon Liddy talk-radio program. (My semi-frequent calls always
begin with, “Mr. Liddy, gung-ho greetings from Nashville!”) The host
commented that he had not heard this line of thinking anywhere else.
There are several problems with the current War on Terrorism. One
of them, by the terrorists’ design, is our difficulty in identifying
the enemy. This could lead weak people to conclude that we are merely
“shadow boxing”. And, some of those people with weak convictions
will then condemn
people with strong convictions. That leads to a degradation of
morale — thus playing into the terrorists’ hands.
Another built-in problem is our inability to predict the enemy’s
target. Until it happened, almost nobody
had conceived of the attacks we saw on “9-11”. Almost as difficult
as determining where terrorists will attack is determining when
they will attack. Experienced soldiers will tell you that the hardest
part of warfare is quietly waiting for the enemy’s next attack.
Then, of course, is the question of “why” they attack. America’s
“mainstream” news media are straining to pretend
that there is no religious element in this war. The same was
true ten years ago, when the Liar-In-Chief got our country embroiled
in a three-sided religious war in the Balkans. Americans were subjected
to a constant overdose of the phrase “ethnic cleansing”, with no explanation
of how three groups of people — all from
the same ethnic stock — could be capable of such a “cleansing”.
Yes, you read correctly. The Serbs, Croats, and Bosnians are all
considered South Slavs. The differences between the three groups
are religious. The Serbs
are Orthodox Christians, the Croats
are Roman Catholic Christians, and the Bosnians are
Muslims. Of course, Bill Clinton managed to get American troops into
the war to help the only side that is not Christian. But,
does that actually surprise
anyone?
Regardless of the views of the Left (whether from Hollywood
or elsewhere), the history of the United States of America is that
of a predominantly Christian nation. And, regardless of the complacency
of the “mainstream” news media, that is also precisely how the Islamist
terrorists view America. That
is why, at the terrorist training camps, the targets have crosses
on them. They hate us because, as a Christian nation, America
is firmly allied with Israel. And, despite the bombast and nitwittery
of network TV news, the terrorists are at war with us because
their god is at war
with our
God. And — perhaps better than some “average” citizens in this
country — the radical Islamists understand the connection between
true Christianity and true Judaism. Thus, the radical Islamists viewed
their attack upon the World Trade Center as equally an attack upon
the large Jewish community in New York City, and an attack upon the
larger Christian nation.
But, notably important is where the terrorists did not
attack.
In the practice of law, there is a doctrine that says “silence equals
acquiescence”. The doctrine is the inverse of the saying “actions
speak louder than words”. In essence, this doctrine says that “inaction
speaks as loudly as action”. By their choice of where not
to attack, the terrorists spoke volumes about their motives.
The Islamist hijackers of “9-11” flew right past the United Nations
headquarters, but did not attack it. Both of America’s wars in the
Persian Gulf region were fought — ostensibly — because of our need
to enforce UN resolutions. So, why didn’t the terrorists attack the
United Nations? Simple: because
the UN shares their ideology. (Note that, in this official UN
position paper, there is no mention at all of the Mizrahi.)
Most conservative Americans agree that the United Nations is — at its core —
profoundly Socialist
in nature. As such, it is both anti-American and
anti-God.
What many well-meaning Americans don’t realize is that many Islamic
countries, and the Muslim world that they seek
to create, are also
Socialist in nature. Over a thousand years before Hitler, the Muslims forced Jews
to wear a yellow patch on their clothing. There are many other parallels.
Like the Fascists and the Communists, both the Muslims and the United
Nations share an ultimate goal: world domination.
Because of their shared Socialist ideologies, the terrorists did not
target their UN enablers.
